Besides a buffet restaurant, the bar serves tall drinks all day and a Fish Restaurant opens every evening serving only the fresh catch of the day. Cited in Arundhati Roy's Booker Prize winning bestseller, "The God of Small Things," the restaurant at Coconut Lagoon is renowned as much for its superb Keralan cuisine (Vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike) as for its authentic setting, and is housed in one of the resort's most impressive tharawads.

There is a large swimming pool with children's section and sunbathing area, a small shop and Ayurvedic centre. Dhara is a mental relaxant consisting of herbal oils and medicated buttermilk poured on the forehead and sometimes on the body as well.
